Rev. Anne Greene, Assistant Minister Rev. Anne Greene has joined our staff as Assistant Minister following an eight year association with the Church of Today, a Church of Religious Science in nearby Sun City, CA.  During this time she served as Practitioner, Assistant Minister, and Senior Minister. Rev. Anne was born in Washington, DC, where she lived until the age of 14, when she and her parents moved to Riverside, CA where she completed high school and started college.  Marriage, children, and working interrupted her education but she made time in her bush schedule to take evening classes until she completed her Associate of Arts degree with many hobbies over the years.  She was singing with the Inland Empire Chorus of Sweet Adelines.  She also sang in various quartets, once reaching 7th place in international competion. Having turned away from traditional Christianity as a young adult, Rev. Anne gradually began to feel something was missing in her life.  At the suggestion of a friend she discovered the Religious Science Church in Riverside, CA where she attended services off and on for several years until she and her husband, Rich, moved to Sun City, CA in 1988. She worked as a staff employee for many years at the University of California, Riverside, taking an early retirement in 1992 to care for her ailing mother. In May of 1991, having again felt the now familiar "tug" for spiritual connection, Rev. Anne discovered the Hemet, CA Church and soon began actively pursuing her spiritual education by enrolling in classes and also serving as Recording Secretary to the Board of Trustees.  Rev. Anne graduated from Holmes Institute in 1999 and was ordained in 2001.  She is the proud mother of two sons and two daughters - (another son made his transition in 1994).  She also has 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Rev. Anne finds ministry, next to parenthood, to be the most challenging as well as the most rewarding career one could possibly have.  She says, "I love to watch people light up with self-discovery as they see themselves expanding into their True Essence - into something more beautiful and grand than they have ever imagined.  It is truly gratifying and humbling to be in their presence as this unfoldment occurs."
